FAQs

  • FRIDAY

Our welcome party will be Friday night from 7-11pm on the rooftop of the Kimpton Rowan hotel. We will have food, desserts, and an open bar from 7-9pm. Totally your call whether you want to eat dinner somewhere before, or just eat with us.

    SATURDAY

Come to The O’Donnell House at 3pm. Our ceremony starts at 3:30pm. Our reception starts around 5pm, and we have to pack it in by 9pm.

After the wedding, we’re sure you will want to keep the party going. Do it! Our venue is in downtown Palm Springs just steps from anywhere you want to go.

    SUNDAY

We’ll be heading into Joshua Tree Sunday morning and would love if you joined us.

  • During the day, it will likely be around 65-80 degrees. In the evening, it will probably dip down to around 40-55 degrees. (Welcome to the desert!). We will have heat lamps at dinner on Saturday and for our welcome party on Friday, but just make sure you wear or bring something warm(ish) both nights.

  • Our welcome party is on Friday night starting at 7pm. We’ll have an open bar and plenty of appetizers for everyone, but if it’s your one night in Palm Springs to go out to a restaurant and you want a real Palm Springs dining experience, you should! We’ll have drinks and dessert and you can come hang out after dinner.

Some of our favorite restaurants in Palm Springs are Sandfish Sushi and Whiskey, Bar Cecil, Rooster and the Pig, Birba, Farm, 4 Saints, and Tac/Quila. (Il Corso is right next to the Kimpton Rowan and is good too.)

  • For the wedding, our dress code is “not tuxes and not jeans.” We want you to feel fabulous in whatever you choose. You’re on vacation! Wear comfortable shoes for walking on grass and bring something to keep you warm when the sun goes down.

For Friday evening, err on the casual side of cocktail attire (or roll in straight off the plane! We don’t judge!). We will be outside in the evening on a rooftop, so make sure you’ll be warm!

  • The O’Donnell House is located in downtown Palm Springs and is walkable to most of the hotels we recommended. When you arrive, come to the little parking lot just to the right of the Palm Springs Art Museum. You will be greeted there by a golf cart that will bring you up to the house.

If you’re driving, you can park in the public (covered) lot across from the little lot where the golf cart will pick you up.

  • Regrettably, kids under the age of 15 are not allowed at our venue due to safety concerns (it’s kind of on a cliff). If you want to bring your kids for the weekend, they’re welcome to all events EXCEPT for the ceremony and reception at the O’Donnell House on December 9th.

  • Joshua Tree National Park is about an hour’s drive away from Palm Springs. It’s super cool and if you’ve never been there, you should definitely try to see it while you’re in town (though you do need a car). We’re going to head into the park for a few hours on Sunday and we’d love if you came with us! Or, head there anytime that works for you.

We like going in through the North Entrance (and out through the West Entrance) and heading straight to our favorite area, Arch Rock. Other favorites are the Barker Dam and Hall of Horrors. Here’s a map.

  • Some of our favorite places for brunch/lunch in Palm Springs are Farm, Tac/Quila, King’s Highway, and The Pink Cabana. We also go to Kaiser Grille and Tyler’s Burgers somewhat often. People also say really good things about Cheeky’s and Chi Chi, but we haven’t been there (yet). Our favorite coffee shop is Café La Jefa.

  • Nope! The wedding ends at 9pm but if you want to keep partying, we love that for you. Try Reforma, Rooftop 262, or The Village to party like it’s 1999 until 2am.
